About the Course

This is a course in the School of Information Studies, my only course taken outside the Instructional Systems Department while in the Master's Program at FSU. I must say that I highly recommend the course. This site was designed as a project in the course, and I believe it represents a significant step forward in my web design skills.

Overview of LIS5362 Curriculum

This is a survey course in basic web technologies, but it adds much more than use of technology. I already had a backround in using the technologies in covered in the course, including Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Fireworks, and Flash. However, I previously had little exposore to hand coding HTML or Javascript, and had little understanding of CSS. This course provides a broad understanding of those topics, as well as the XHTML standard. Most importantly, the course covers web design, usability, and process. I highly recommend the course to anyone in Instructional Systems Design, and suggest that it be taken early in the program of study.
