I believe I am highly skilled in the area of analysis. Repeated exposure to the concept of instructional analysis in various courses has provided me with a variety of tools for analyzing instructional needs. Approaches I have utilized in various courses include Mager and Pipes performance analysis, Dick and Carey's hierarchical goal analysis, and Gagne's five part task analysis. In addition, in my 20+ years of experience in the corporate training field, I have applied instructional analysis as a part of a traditional ADDIE model to instructional design. I have been allowed to apply the analysis concepts learned in my FSU courses to the ISD process at various jobs while in the FSU master's program, thus providing additional practice opportunities beyond the course requirements.
