I believe that professional writing has always been one of my strength. For instance, at Ocwen Technology XChange, in the middle of rolling out a major new instructional program, I was given responsibility for the technical writing team who was hopelessly behind in producing user documentation for the same software development project. Their project plan called for completion 3 years in the future of a product that, while undoubtedly of high quality, would have been completely irrelevant 3 years later for a software product that wa constantly in flux. By organizing the writing team based on standard protocols and styles, and focusing them on meeting a realistic deadline, our documentation was delivered on time (six months instead of 3 years), and was cited as customers as a significant benefit of upgrading to the new product version. I also believe that my ability to work with team members in various roles, including leader and subordinate, has helped to speed projects along by eliminating political friction. My instructional materials and Powerpoint presentations have always been well received, because they communicate at the educational and technical level of the audience and generally are brief enough to fit well within the allocated time frame.
