In EME5603 I conducted a formative evaluation on my "Calculate Your Own Bonus" lesson prepared for OTX employees. The formative evaluation is detailed in the document 5603formative.doc. In this evaluation I conducted both one to one (page 2) and small group evaluations (page 5) on the product. The one to one evaluations enabled me to correct some usability issues with the product at an early stage, as well as identify some issues with the amount of time required to complete the lesson. In the small group evaluation I discovered that although overall scores were very high on the post test (page 7), only 63% of participants were able to achieve the terminal objective. This enabled me to identify the subordinate skill that was not being achieved, and make appropriate modifications to the product.
