As an assignment in EDF5461 I designed an assessment of the NCLEX Readiness Training and Testing program at. All about staffing (nclexassessment.doc). This is a training program designed to prepare international nursing recruits for the NCLEX test, a requirement for immigration under the H-1B visa program for health care professionals. The assessment was requested by the management of All About Staffing to assure that the training was effective, and that both participants and their ultimate employers (HCA Hospitals) were satisfied with the training. Therefore I chose a management oriented approach to evaluation. After identifying stakeholders (page 4), I used the CIPP model to generate questions (page 6). My design (page 7) used both qualitative and quantitative data to provide triangulation of data and conclusions.
